Unsung Heroes
The "Pro" Active Life of Harjap Grewal
When Harjap Grewal was growing up in the small northern town of Terrace, B.C., his parents, like most, hoped their son would enter one of the “respected” professions: lawyer, doctor, engineer, scientist. He graduated with a BSc in Biochemistry and Pharmacology and an MSc in Organic Chemistry, with still no clear direction.

Politics by Andy Radhia

Senate Reform Not Senate Abolishment
Senate bashing” has become a popular sport in Canada.
The Senate, after all, is an easy target. Here you have a seemingly ineffective government body that costs taxpayers over $32 million a year. It includes 105 unelected individuals who are each guaranteed an annual salary of $132,000 until age 75. These senators, appointed at the whim of the prime minister, have no accountability and limited functions.

Stellar Students

Harleen Sekhon

No one is smarter than another person; some students just catch on earlier than others. Know how quick of a learner you are and work hard at allocating as much time to school as you need. Don’t compare yourself to others. Moreover, being academically strong is not always the key to success. To truly be successful, one should work hard at becoming a well-rounded person, by volunteering in the community, getting involved in sports, pursuing your hobbies, etc. I believe that by volunteering you can learn so much more about the world and even more about yourself.
